Certified pediatric and primary care nurse practitioner Tonya McClain, CPNP-PC, has been in pediatrics for more than 15 years and specializes in patients from birth to 18 years of age. She sees patients for sick visits, minor procedures, coordination of care, immunizations and annual preventive wellness visits.
McClain received her Master of Science in nursing from Sinclair School of Nursing in Columbia, MO, and has been treating patients in Dexter for more than 10 years.
Caring for children and helping families navigate aspects of growth and development is McClain’s passion. She loves watching patients grow and develop healthy habits over the years. She is now seeing second generation patients that she started taking care of as an RN in the office setting.
In her spare time, she is busy tending to her family farm with horses and goats and loves traveling with her daughter and grandson.
